CMIS Group as an employer

CMIS Group is a Dutch financial services company that brings consumers and investors together in the Dutch mortgage and lending market. We are an internationally operating financial services company and multi-asset class servicer with a focus on providing optimal products and services to the Dutch consumer. All related activities, from providing mortgages to managing these mortgages and distribution via independent financial advisors, are carried out under one roof.

CMIS Group is the parent company of mortgage label Merius Hypotheken, mortgage servicer Adaxio and the independent advice chains De Hypotheekshop, Hypokeur and Huis & Hypotheek. There are approximately 170 employees working at CMIS Group. Our company has a hands on mentality with an informal and open culture. We are located in Amsterdam Sloterdijk, however many of our employees are able to work from home to our highly digitized cloud based work environment.

CMIS Group is a social company that is committed to its employees. Not only do we offer them good working conditions, but we also always try to make every employee feel valued. CMIS has several ESG goals, including some for our employees, for example to encourage exercise more for their mental and physical health.

Company Culture

CMIS Group is a place where many employees quickly feel at home. We always notice that colleagues come to each other’s aid at all times when needed and that no question is too much. Everyone is involved in everything, including our brand new employees. That’s great, because as a new employee you immediately have the feeling that you are really part of your team and of the company. We have an army of friendly colleagues, for whom we regularly organize fun activities, such as escape rooms, quizzes and barbecues in the summer. This way everyone gets to know each other outside of work. Due to Covid-19, this is currently on a bit of a back burner, but as soon as it is possible again, we will start doing more fun things together!

Work at home

Because of Covid-19 all our employees are currently working from home. A few colleagues still come to the office every now and then, but only if it is necessary. Based on the opening plan of the government, CMIS Group has also made a plan to let its employees come to the office again later this year, step by step. If all goes according to plan, in a few months we will be working in small groups in the office for 1-2 days. Even after Covid-19, the intention is to keep some of the home working in it for those who find it comfortable.

Application process

Because we are working form home, we currently do not hold job interviews in the office. As long as we are nog able to come to the office, the interviews will take place via Teams. Our procedure consists of the following steps.

  3. Personality test
  4. First job interview
  5. Second job interview
  6. Job offer
  7. Screening in onboarding phase

Lifelong learning

At CMIS Group, we find it important that our employees can continue to learn and develop. For this reason, among others, we offer various training programs and encourage our employees to follow as many of these as possible. In addition to the mandatory training in technical areas, such as Wft exams or Lean-belts, all employees can follow unlimited courses, e-learnings and training via SkillsTown.
