Board of Executive Directors

The non-statutory Board of Executive Directors is primarily responsible for supervision of the Group and its legal entities within the group. It is also responsible for reviewing all major decisions in the company that may materially impact the strategy and / or risk profile and risk appetite of the group.



Sean Daly

CEO CMIS Group and Chairman

  • CEO and Chairman of Credit Management and Investor Solutions B.V. and affiliates.
  • Former COO Italfondiario responsible for the integration of Banca Intesa platform of non-performing commercial loans and staff with existing business. Responsibilities also included the management of all functions except for the servicing group.
  • Former Global head of Business Process Improvement for Cushman & Wakefield, SVP Business Process Improvement for Fortress Investment Group, and fifteen years increasingly responsible positions with GE / GE Capital in Finance, Risk, Sales, Business Development, Mergers – Acquisitions and Quality
  • All around business experience working across multiple industries in the US, Italy, the Netherlands & Sweden.

Pieter Kortland

Chief Financial Officer

  • Chief Financial Officer of Credit Management & Investor Solutions B.V. and affiliates. He joined CMIS Group in 2010.
  • Started his career at KPMG, specializing in the Financial Services Industry. Several (interim) management positions, responsible for accounting and control.
  • Broad Financial experience with a focus on Financial Management, engaged with (system) integrations, process improvement, management accounting.
  • Former manager of the FP&A department of CMIS B.V., responsibilities included: formulating strategic and long-term business plans.
  • Played a key role in the acquisitions of Welke / De Hypotheekshop.

Edwin van Staden

Chief Risk Officer

  • Joined CMIS in May 2012 and oversees the group´s Corporate Governance, Enterprise Risk Management (Strategy-, Financial-, Compliance- and Operational Risks), Compliance and Internal Audit functions.
  • Active in the financial services industry for over  25 years, focusing on consumer finance, product- and market development, payment services  solutions and  risk management.
  • Former associate at a consultancy firm, Director Global Solutions for an Asian IT company, Chief Fraud Risk Officer for GE Capital’s Consumer Finance products globally, CEO of a Dutch financial bank owned corporation, part of the Management Team of bank owned payment processor.
  • Interpay (now Equens) and Senior Vice-President Risk Management at various financial service companies. Long-time advisor of MasterCard International.
  • Started his career in Law Enforcement and completed an executive study at INSEAD University. 

Jelle Wiersma

Chief Legal Officer

  • Chief Legal Officer, joined CMIS in 2006 and is also responsible for external communication and media affairs.
  • Former attorney at law at AKD, one of the largest Dutch law firms, with a focus on insolvency and company law work in the broadest sense. Advised and litigated regularly in insolvency-related cases and in cases involving general obligations of law.
  • Also been acting as official receiver in many bankruptcies and advising stakeholders of companies in difficulty, including acquisitions from bankrupt and nearly bankrupt firms.
  • As Director of Legal Affairs Jelle was closely involved in the sale process of the Continental European GMAC RFC entities that was finalized in September 2010. 
  • Master’s degree (Mr.) in law from Tilburg University.
